From the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles, ABC Television Network presents international superstar Mariah Carey in the music special, "Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to You,"  
MONDAY, DECEMBER 13 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET). The special will feature Mariah performing songs from her new holiday album, Merry Christmas II You, available Tuesday, November 2nd on the Island Def Jam Music Group.

Viewers are in for a special treat as Carey sings unforgettable renditions of yuletide classics and original tunes, including her new holiday hit, "Oh, Santa!" In the spirit of giving, the program will also feature Carey surprising some very special fans and helping to make their wishes come true.

Joel Gallen will direct the special and serve as executive producer alongside Carey.

Carey's new holiday CD, Merry Christmas II You, is her 13th studio album and features a selection of traditional yuletide classics + 4 original songs composed by her (including first single "Oh Santa!") and a brand new recording of her all-time standard, "All I Want for Christmas Is You." Merry Christmas II You follows up her worldwide multi-million-selling Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (released September 2009), her multi-platinum E=MC_ (2008), and worldwide 10 million selling The Emancipation of Mimi (2005). The Emancipation of Mimi generated three Grammy Awards (including Best Contemporary R&B Album), two #1 singles, and countless more honors during its 18-month chart stay. Soundscan's biggest-selling album of 2005, Mimi, featured "We Belong Together" (Grammy winner for Best Female R&B Vocal and Best R&B Song) and "Don't Forget About Us," Carey's 16th and 17th #1 career singles, respectively. They tied one of the most enduring chart records in Billboard Hot 100 history, Elvis Presley's 17 #1's.

Three years later, Carey surpassed Elvis when "Touch My Body" (from E=MC2) became her 18th #1 Hot 100 hit. "Touch My Body" spent two weeks at the top, Carey's 78th and 79th cumulative career weeks at #1, which tied Elvis' long-standing all-time high of 79 weeks at #1, as calculated by Billboard. Carey is now positioned as the only active recording artist in the 50 years of the Hot 100 (which began in 1958) with the potential to surpass the Beatles' all-time high of 20 #1 hits. The success of E=MC2 brought total sales of Carey's albums, singles and videos to more than 200 million worldwide, distancing her even further from the pack as the top-selling female recording artist in history.

• - Visit big chain stores like Walmart or Target and ask the Store Manager if they could (setup a display) or move Mariah's Christmas Album to the front of the store near checkout to further promote the album.
• - Have a MCIIY listening party of your own with family, friends, and neighbors to allow them to hear the album and better persuade them to purchase the album
• - School Christmas plays for kids are going to be starting soon, suggest they use music from Mariah's new and original Christmas album (hand out MCIIY flyers at the play also)
• - Handing out MCIIY flyers to people at the mall doing their Christmas shopping
• - Handout MCIIY flyers to neighbors or place them in mailboxes (attaching a candy cane would also help grab more attention)
• - Putting up MCIIY posts on your school bulletin boards
• - Stores that are playing Christmas music ask them if its a cd or if its satellite, if its a cd ask the store manager if they could play Mariah's new album or original album
• - Putting MCIIY in people shopping carts for Black Friday while they're not looking (lol)

Disney World 2010 Christmas Parade ticket info and more

Mariah is schedule to perform at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade at Disney World to promote her new holiday album "Merry Christmas II You," below is the ticket and planning information provided by various Disney sites.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event held each winter on select nights at Magic Kingdom theme park. Purchase of an additional event admission ticket is required to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This festive celebration is filled with live entertainment, spectacular fireworks and an oh-so-jolly holiday parade.


Registrations are accepted up until December 2 but are limited and distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. An online pre-registration for tickets to be in the audience during a taping of ” Walt Disney World Christmas Parade, as a rule, it's announced in late October, and quickly sells.

Participants will be selected from group and notified in a separate email how to obtain their actual tickets. Tickets include free parking and admission into the Magic Kingdom for the day; participants are asked to commit to a four-hour shift in the audience. Families may request up to 8 tickets. Registration ends at 12 a.m. Pacific Time on Dec. 2, but tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.


In the past, taping has taken place the first weekend of December, *sign-up is free and includes park admission to the Magic Kingdom for the remainder of the day (note guests who exit the park after the taping may not be allowed re-entry without other legitimate admission media).

Sixteen years after her first successful Christmas album, Mariah Carey will return to the format with "Merry Christmas II You," due Nov. 2 on Island Def Jam. The set will feature four original songs penned by Carey, including lead single "Oh Santa."



Traditional holiday tunes such as "Little Drummer Boy" and "O Come All Ye Faithful" also make the cut, alongside a re-recording of Carey's Christmas standard, "All I Want For Christmas Is You." The latter has reached No. 1 each year on the Billboard Hot 100 Recurrents chart, which tracks the popularity of non-current songs, since the chart's founding in 2005. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the song has sold 1.6 million downloads to date, making it Carey's best-selling download.



"Merry Christmas," Carey's first Christmas album, peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in 1994, the year of its release, and has sold 5 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. It also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Holiday Albums chart and has appeared annually on the tally since its release.


Producers on "Merry Christmas II You," Carey's thirteenth studio album, include "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson and Jermaine Dupri, among others.

Many people doubted when the first news that Mariah Carey would sing to Brazil in the Cowboy Festival Barretos began to circulate. But on Saturday night, 21, dreams of fans and patrons of the traditional feast is held. The audience was delirious again.

Mariah Carey fans already are lining up in Barretos

Early Mariah Carey fans have come to Barretos, in São Paulo, to show the American singer, which takes place on Saturday night (21) in the Cowboy Festival. The first in the queue arrived at 6am and came from São Paulo.

"We took the bus to 0h, arrived here early and let's go after the show. It's tiring, but worth it. I could get an autograph outside the hotel [where she stayed in the state capital], but twenty years ago I wait for a show of it "said student Lucas Figueiredo, 19.

Of the dozens of people who improvised a line in front of the arena, only five were women. Most of the boys was part of a group of 70 people who came by bus from Rio de Janeiro and arrived in Dodge City around 11am. Until a Peruvian part of the caravan.

"I took the plane in Lima [Peru's capital] on Thursday evening and arrived in Sao Paulo early Monday. I went to [Avenue] to do Paulista hours and wait for a friend of mine. New photos! Mariah Arrives in Brazil

Mariah arrived in Brazil today and it didn't take long for her to be swarmed by adoring fans at the airport and her hotel. Fans waited eagerly for hours for her arrival at both her hotel and airport holding up signs and pictures as well as wearing home made shirts and banners. One fan even stated she had a hard time deciding on whether she should go to the hotel or if she should wait at the airport, she went with the hotel. (Pictures below)
