Mariah Carey took the stage with a black dress of a princess, complete with crown, and stirred the fans who followed his show on the Feast of Pawn Barretos. The presentation, scheduled for midnight, began at 1:26 a.m., and the delay meant that the public had lost patience and began booing. The singer opened the show with the introduction of the song "Butterfly" followed by "Shake It On," "Touch My Body" and "My All". "Thanks for the gifts. I'm in Brazil and want to be festive. I could not talk to all my fans in the hotel, "thanked the diva.

Many people doubted when the first news that Mariah Carey would sing to Brazil in the Cowboy Festival Barretos began to circulate. But on Saturday night, 21, dreams of fans and patrons of the traditional feast is held. The show, scheduled for midnight, began at 1:26 a.m., and the delay meant that the public had lost patience at one point and started booing. But it only took the stage lights announce the entry of the singer and the introduction of "Butterfly" that fans were delirious. The singer's first song was "Shake it on", but lacked such hits as "Heartbreaker" and "My All". The singer chose a dress puffed in the best style princess - right with the crown and all - to open the show and, along it, swapped for a short part of a jacket with sequins. Jointly, the two outfits had generous necklines that showed the singer's lap. But all this was minor (no pun intended) before the show, Mariah, who had an hour and a half in length and with the song "I Want To Know What Love Is" to crown the evening. The audience was delirious again.

Mariah Carey fans already are lining up in Barretos

Early Mariah Carey fans have come to Barretos, in São Paulo, to show the American singer, which takes place on Saturday night (21) in the Cowboy Festival. The first in the queue arrived at 6am and came from São Paulo.

"We took the bus to 0h, arrived here early and let's go after the show. It's tiring, but worth it. I could get an autograph outside the hotel [where she stayed in the state capital], but twenty years ago I wait for a show of it "said student Lucas Figueiredo, 19.

Of the dozens of people who improvised a line in front of the arena, only five were women. Most of the boys was part of a group of 70 people who came by bus from Rio de Janeiro and arrived in Dodge City around 11am. Until a Peruvian part of the caravan.

Mariah arrived in Brazil today and it didn't take long for her to be swarmed by adoring fans at the airport and her hotel. Fans waited eagerly for hours for her arrival at both her hotel and airport holding up signs and pictures as well as wearing home made shirts and banners. One fan even stated she had a hard time deciding on whether she should go to the hotel or if she should wait at the airport, she went with the hotel. (Pictures below)

Four Reasons Why Mariah Carey Would Make a Good American Idol Judge

Much ado has been made about the changes coming to the American Idol Judges' table. With three top names leaving the panel (Kara DioGuardi, Simon Cowell, and Ellen DeGeneres)—there is a gap so wide in the struggling Fox network show that execs should probably hold a lottery to fill the empty spaces. Though nothing is written in stone, rumors are flying that Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and former fly girl Jennifer Lopez will be camping out in the two empty judges' seats. But has Fox overlooked another Hollywood personality capable of guiding America's youth into stardom? "America's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon has intimated that his wife Mariah Carey would be pumped to take on the challenge. Alas, Mariah may never assume this coveted role. But here are a few good reasons why she should.

She could provide comic relief.

Few people realize exactly how funny Mariah Carey can actually be. Underneath that thick layer of Diva and that adorable New York lilt, she's quite the quippy one. No one could ever really replace Simon Cowell and his incredibly frank verbal conclusions. But adding Mariah to the panel would ensure that there's a certain level of shrewd at the table.

She's got a little bit of "Paula."

One need only take a look at Mariah's drunken acceptance speech for hit movie Precious, to see that she's got what it takes to keep things interesting. Now that Carol Burnett will play Sue's mom on 'Glee,' let's decide on that Super Bowl episode By Jen Chaney

At Comic-Con and during the TCA press tour, Murphy and co. also noted that the big post super bowl "Glee" episode will feature a tribute to a major pop artist, but they did not say who because negotiations are ongoing. Now that we know the Burnett news is a done deal, I say it's time to speculate as to who that pop artist might be, at least in our fantasies. Some names we can rule out: Britney Spears, since a Britney episode has already been confirmed for another episode next season; Madonna (even though they plan to do another tribute, presumably it won't be for the Super Bowl); Paul McCartney, who already will have his music featured in another episode next season; and Lady Gaga (also been done). So who could it be? Let's take some guesses.

Mariah Carey: The best thing about a Carey tribute is the potential for a hit-the-high-note contest between Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, frequent guest star Kristen Chenoweth, and Carey. Some people will be putting money on the big game that Sunday; if this circumstance comes to pass, the "Gleeks" would all be betting on which of these vocalists is most likely to break glass.
