Let's make #Mariah a Trending Topic (specifically by Aug.5)

Due to my enormous boredom and curiosity on why there are tweets that should have the # sign, I decided to search on "how to make a trending topic on Twitter". I found this result:

"Make sure you're following @wthashtag. We'll follow you back so two-way communication will work

Send a direct message to @wthashtag where the contents are only the hashtag: #myhash

When you send this message, we'll look up #myhash and send you a message in return. Possible return values include:

• Hashtag found, description available - #myhash: A hashtag centered around people talking about me ... (link to article)
• Hashtag found, no description available - #myhash: No description available, but YOU can add one ... (link to article)
• No hashtag match - #myhash was not found, but YOU can add it (link to article)
• Illegal command - Unrecognized command. To inquire about a hashtag, simply send me a hashtag including the # symbol. For all other communication, @reply me.

Submitting Definitions on Twitter

To submit a definition on Twitter, send @wthashtag an @reply that looks like this:

@wthashtag def #hashcon For people attending the hashtag conference.

The def keyword tells us you want to define something, followed by the hashtag you want to define and then finally the definition you want to submit.

Upon posting your @reply tweet, we will take your definition and insert it into the wiki,"
