LGH: Lambs Take On "Today"

On October 1st and Oct. 2nd, two hardcore lambs Ciara(Top pic w/Trey Lorenz) and Michelle (Bottom Pic w/Trey Lorenz) showed their true dedication and love to Mariah Carey. As they met up for the first time (previously chatted only online) They were both going to do whatever it took to get a good spot for The "Today" Show Which Mariah was scheduled to perform on October 2nd at 7:00am.

Unfortunately after waiting 12 hours in freezing temps, they still ended up way behind in the line because they didn't win fan passes. But, then they somehow ended up in VIP and got way more than they would have ever expected! Read below to find out how the day began and how it ended with an amazing unforgettable experience.

On October 1st myself (Ciara) and Michelle met up for the fIrst time in NYC for Mariah's Today show appearance and it was a blast! we met over Twitter in march and have been friends ever since. We were suppose to met up last month while one of our fellow lambs from the UK was
visIting but I couldn't make it. but this time we made it happen!

We went about our day as usual, I had an 8am class followed by two more classes at 11 and 12 and Michelle had work around the same time that day. as soon as my class was over my mom and I got on the road to the cIty ( I live In Albany so It was about a 2hr drive) and around p.m. Michelle got on the bus from PhIlly. we met up at port authority around p.m. and proceeded to walk from 42nd street to 49th street. when we got there there were only two other people there but they had the luxury of having fan passes ( but they weren't even lambs not even fans they love NKOTB, yes we were jealous lol).
so we were the first people In line for the general line. that was about 7:30 pm from that point we were on "Mariah Time".

At first the hours crept by and it looked as if no one was going to show, then around midnight the lambs came out. we sat all night listenIng to the "one and only" MCC and played just about all of her albums ( yes even the Christmas album, which Michelle still has that as a ring back ) around 1am the process of setting the stage started which only meant that our time was finally startIng to go and MC would soon be there.around 3am fan pass holders got moved to there line. a little later these nice men came and offered free hot coco and donuts and then another group of men came and passed out MC posters and fans and we also got T-shIrts that say "forever" on them.so around 5 am the fan pass line went in and I was devastated I really wanted to cry because the line seemed as If It was never going to end. some of the NBC securIty guards had been out there talking to Michelle and I and they asked us how long we had been out there and how long we were fans and so on. we Informed them that we had been out on that corner patientatlly waiting to see MC since 7p.m. the night before. the securIty guards stood In disbelief and felt bad that we were going to be behind 200 other people but were the 1st in line. after all the fan pass people were let In the securIty guard Robert ( a 2 time Vietnam vet. ) told me and Michelle to follow him so of course we did ! we walk past all the gates all the fan pass people and right into the VIP area!!!! he ask if that was close enough and we asked him if he was serious! we thanked him a million and one times and waited for rehearsals to start.

Around 6 am Ms. Debbie Allen came out to rehearse with the choir and Trey and Mary anne came out too! as soon as I saw trey I yelled for him and he came over. I asked for a picture with him and he was oh so festIve at this bleak hour In the mornTIng and gladly took pictures with both me and Michelle, and talked to us on and off throughout the rehersal. then MC came out escorted by Nick, Michael, and Rea Rea was there and her stylIst and make up people. Ms.Debbie reminded me of a proud loving mom helping MC with her coat and giving MC her scarf. when Mariah came out she was all smIles. when she started practicing for "Obesessed" she took her coat off and I yelled hot tamale and she quickly turned and smiled. I asked her to sign my (as we call It In twitterland) "MOAIA" and she said " yes I will i just have to do this" MIchael got a little upset at that. you see early on I tired to get on his good side, when he came out I said hi to him and he kindly smiled and waved back at me.( but he made sure my cd dIdn't get singed =( )

MC quickly ran through her four songs ( I wanna know what love Is, make It happen, obsessed and H.A.T.E.U) then told us she would be back, which she was around 8am. before she started I saw Nick across the stage and yelled hIs name he looked over quIckly and I saId you follow me on twitter Im "bleakosIty11" and he poInted almost lIke he knew what I was talkIng about, but what do I know he could have just been pointIng to point lol. so I asked hIm to stay still so I could snap a picture and he put on a big smile but moved to quick. ( I finally got a good shot while he was singing along with MC durIng H.A.T.E.U too cute) for the duratIon of the show Michelle and I stood In utter amazemeant at the fact that we were three feet from Mariah, we kept saying we couldn't believe this.

It was worth the more then 12 hours that we stood out In the freezing cold. to be that close wasn't what we expected. to see Mariah Carey In person and that close was so surreal. Michelle and I talked about when we attended the "Adventures of MIMI" tour and the bleak seats that we had lol but this was nothing like that ! we were breathIng that same air as Mariah Carey lol. she could see us and we made eye contact!!

all in all this was the best night ever I went more then 24hrs without sleep and met up with one of my favorite lambs took pictures wIth Trey Lorenz got scolded my Michael yelled across stage with Nick and I was In VIP breathIng the same air wIth Mariah Carey!!! lol this was the best night ever!!!
